After graduating from St. Joseph’s College where he helped win an ECAC Tournament Championship, Coach Roberts has served as a baseball and softball coach for 18 years at various levels of play. During that time he has served as a softball camp director and instructor as well as a private hitting instructor and coached travel softball at the 14u, 16u and 18u levels and currently serves as the LI Express 12u East coach. Since becoming the head softball coach at Center Moriches High School Rich has led the program to eight County Final Appearances, seven League Championships, three Section XI Classification
Championships, two Long Island Championships and a New York State Final Four Appearance. This has led to over 200 wins during his tenure as coach and has been selected as league coach of the year on four different occasions. Coach Roberts is currently Vice-President of the Suffolk County Softball Coaches Association and a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
