Dave Rivera

Coach Dave Rivera started his coaching career at Briarcliffe college in charge of player development for baseball and softball. He was also the strength coach and pitching coach from 2001-2006. Rivera ended his tenure at Briarcliffe winning a National Title as Interim Head Coach in his final year with the Seahawks.

Coach Rivera then opened his own baseball and softball training center in Bay Shore and also began coaching travel softball and varsity high school softball as well. From the years 2009-2013 coach Rivera compiled a record of 77-22 as a varsity softball coach, reaching playoff births each year, county championship finalists twice, and coach of the year honors in 2011 and 2012.

Since that time coach Rivera has coached at several levels from Collegiate league, High School travel, and Varsity in both baseball and softball.

Being a versatile coach, Dave also has a background as a strength and conditioning coach, life coach and stretch therapist as well as attaining a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in business. Long Island Express organization is happy to have him onboard as part of its coaching staff.
